In the morning as we awake, we exhale the new life you have breathed into us each day. New life you breathe in as our souls rest, mind and temple slumber. Breath to sustain us through the trials of a new day in this age of uncertainty.
For you have overcome the world, you are the way, the truth, the light, the alpha, omega, beginning and end. That is what you provide to each human temple you breathe life into to enable us to live in joy and without fear as the unknown engulfs this temporary place we inhabit. You have clothed us in your armor. We stand in awe of you. We stand bravely in your name and rise up against the face of evil. Death has no hold on us, for we are the children of the Prince of Peace.
Each new day I wonder what new beauty will you show me today. What words of knowledge, comfort, and peace will you speak into me today. I only need listen closely. And no matter what trial I may face, you stand by my side and face it with me, together as one. There are no words to express my eternal gratitude to you my teacher, counselor, companion, best friend. You have stood by me through my darkest days. When I was the worst version of myself your hand was still outstretched for me. What a good shepherd you are. You left the 99 to find me. In the cosmos so vast and infinite, you found me. The stars are endless and you wanted to know me, talk to me, reside in me. How majestic are you Lord. I stand in awe. Worshiping forever at your feet. For You are Holy, Holy, Holy.
Fill me with more of You Lord. Magnify Yourself in me. Empty this vessel, make it your temple and reside in me. I was one way and now I am completely different, because of you Lord.
“So then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh. At that time you were without Christ, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world.
But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh, he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.
He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross by which he put the hostility to death. He came and proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those were near. For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being put together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you are also being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” – Ephesians 2:11-22
